Jude Gold: Guitar
Jude interviews the top guitarists in the world as Associate Editor of Guitar Player Magazine. Jude has leafed through the pages of rock history during interviews with guitar heros like Joe Satriani, Steve Morse, Kevin Eubanks, AC/DC guitarists Angus and Malcolm Young, Ozzy Osbourne’s Zakk Wylde, and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry. Jude is also currently the Director of the Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood, CA.
In addition to performing with George Clinton and the P-funk All-Stars, David Grisman, Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett, Eddie Money, Merl Saunders, String Cheese Incident, and raunch rappers 2 Live Crew, Jude toured and recorded with JGB (formerly known as the Jerry Garcia Band) for three years after Jerry passed-on to the other side. Gold has also toured extensively with BX3, a band featuring electric bass guitar legends Stu Hamm, Jeff Berlin, and Billy Sheehan. Recently, Jude performed a piece he co-composed with the Oakland Symphony.
Jude reveals some of his Guitar Player wisdom when he lets it rip on his “Jude Gold guitar solo / Sex Machine” video. The Director of the Guitar Institute of Technology sets the wire on fire during the “After Midnight” video.
